Dean's Message

The primary purpose of education is to nurture the essence of humanity (Fitrah). It also plays a crucial role in developing individual potential, guiding it towards a more advanced and dynamic future. Education is essential for achieving happiness in both worldly and spiritual aspects of life. In alignment with these goals, the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences (FESS) aims to cultivate students who can contribute meaningfully to society through our vision and mission.

In today’s rapidly evolving global community, FESS is dedicated to preparing students for sustainable competition, ensuring they remain at the forefront of progress. Persistent and intelligent efforts are essential to ensure that the education process remains relevant and in harmony with global advancements.

Established in 1999, our faculty originally offered education programs at the Unisel Shah Alam Campus. In 2005, we relocated to the Bestari Jaya Unisel Campus, merging with the Faculty of Social Sciences & Industrial Studies and the Language Center. Since then, we have been known as the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences. Currently, we offer nine undergraduate programs and six postgraduate programs, and have produced over 20,000 alumni both locally and internationally.

Our faculty aims to produce teachers with comprehensive knowledge and high-level skills. Despite admitting students with varying academic qualifications, FESS has successfully fostered a paradigm shift in developing essential human capital, particularly in teaching and social sciences. This achievement is highly regarded by parents and the University, reflecting our graduates’ strong marketability.

Finally, I hope that this noble endeavor will continue to thrive, contributing to the nation’s success now and in the future. We warmly welcome new students to join us in achieving their dreams and turning ambitions into reality. Thank you.
