The Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Early Childhood Education at Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) is an enriching program designed to equip aspiring educators with the essential knowledge, skills, and perspectives to excel in nurturing young minds. This program is committed to producing highly qualified early childhood educators capable of fostering holistic development in children from birth to six years old. The curriculum is meticulously designed to address the cognitive, emotional, physical, and social needs of young learners, integrating theoretical foundations with hands-on experiences.

The ECE program is comprehensive, covering University Compulsory Subjects, MQA Compulsory Subjects, Education Foundation, Professional Practice, and Discipline Core areas. This structure ensures a well-rounded education covering child development, creative teaching methods, curriculum planning, health and safety, early literacy and numeracy, special needs education, and practical experience to prepare graduates for nurturing and inspiring young learners.
To graduate, students need to complete 121 credit hours, including 16 weeks of practicum at a childcare center and kindergarten or preschool and a research project.
Our program is accessible to a wide range of applicants, with various pathways for admission:
- A Pass in STPM / equivalent with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two (2) subjects or equivalent; OR
- A Pass in STAM with a minimum Grade of Jayyid; OR
- A Pass in the Foundation / Matriculation / Pre-University program with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
- A Pass in Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Level 4 MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
- A Pass in Diploma (Level 4 MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
- A Pass in UEC with at least Grade B in 5 subjects and pass English; OR
- A Pass in Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) / Malaysian Advanced Skills Diploma (DLKM) / Malaysian Vocational Diploma (DVM) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.50 and has obtained full Accreditation Certification from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
