The Diploma in Early Childhood Education at Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) is an introductory program designed to prepare aspiring educators with essential skills, knowledge, and practical experience to nurture and educate children from birth to six years old. This program emphasizes hands-on learning, equipping graduates with the ability to foster young learners’ holistic development in diverse early childhood settings.

Innovative Curriculum

The program’s curriculum is rooted in the latest research and practices in early childhood education, emphasizing:

  • Child Development: Understanding physical, emotional, cognitive, and social milestones.

The program comprises University Compulsory Subjects, MQA Compulsory Subjects, and core modules in early childhood education, focusing on:

Child Development.

Creative Teaching Approaches. Health, Safety, and Nutrition. Curriculum Design and Assessment. Special Needs Education.

Students must complete [Total Credit Hours], including a practicum of [Duration] at a childcare center, kindergarten (tadika), or preschool.

Our program is accessible to a wide range of applicants, with various pathways for admission:

  • A Pass in SPM with 3 credits; OR
  • A Pass in UEC with a minimum grade of B in 3 subjects and a pass in English
