Understanding human behaviour is hard, because how we behave is complex and keeps changing as our environment and technology changes.Learn about every stage of human behaviour, from behavioural neuroscience to cognitive processes, and the practical aspects of developmental, social and clinical psychology. The UNISEL’s Diploma in Psychology exposes you to the aspects of behaviour such as human motivation and emotion, decision-making process and social interaction. The main major domains covered in the program structure are cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, sensation and perception, and social psychology.
Diploma in Psychology help students to understand and become knowledgeable in the concept of dualism in psychology; the mind and the behaviour. This dualism is the definition for psychology which helps build various techniques in understanding mental abilities and shaping behaviour. The programme is consistent with the societal demand on dealing with the increasing of mental issues. In this programme, student will learn concepts and theories related to psychology such as developmental, motivation and many others. Prospected student will also be able to apply the knowledge to their everyday life and needs. Our graduates will, therefore, be able to assist counsellor, therapist, psychologist and many other social science related career to help build a better society.
i. A pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent with at least 3 credits in any subject and a pass in Mathematics and Science; OR
ii. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in 1 of the subject and a pass in, Mathematics and Science at SPM level

Diploma in Psychology graduates can be assistants to Psychologist, Personnel and Human Resources, Education and Training, Customer and Personal Services, Admission and Management.
Diploma in Psychology at UNISEL is recognised and approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and therefore, the course curriculum is recognised with either full or part exemption for a Degree in Psychology programme in Malaysia.
